My First UFL Game!

I just played my first UFL game. I set up my league and played an exhibition game. I was very impressed with the realism and speed of the game. It says that this game is addicting. That is an understatement. It is now 12:30 AM, the wife and kids are asleep and I could play for hours. BUT, I can't. Then again there is tomorrow. Thanks, Ben for sharing and promoting this great game. For my first exhibition game I chose my Carolina team vs. the L.A. team in my league. Carolina wins it 15-10. Carolina had 5 FG's. L.A. could not get started on offense. I was coaching the Carolina team. The only bad thing was L.A. kept me out of the endzone. So I still have the thrill of scoring that first UFL touchdown. More later.

Which do you prefer:
coach both teams
coach one of the teams
or let UFL coach both?

From a personal point of view, I let the computer coach 31 of the 32 teams in my league, the last being my own beloved (and strangely, entirely fictional) Schoburg Franklins.

Sounds like you're getting a little closer to the frenzied addiction seemingly necessary to become a poster on this forum. :)

Always nice to meet someone from where my ancestors started it all. Being from Scotland now in Great Britain, I am sure you have met someone with the last name of Watts!? My ancestry is that of Scottish and English. I have always wanted to visit there but have never been able to but maybe one day.
Have you been able to do anymore work on your site? I played another exhibition game last night. It was incredible. I chose one of my league teams, Savannah against Portland. Savannah jumped out to a 13-0 lead at half. Portland came back to go up 14-13. They went back and forth on field goals for a final of Savannah 23 Portland 17. The realism was great! This game is definitely addicting.

In my 2 main leagues, I let UFL coach all 32 teams. Even though UFL games only last 15-30 seconds or so, "watching" them can be quite entertaining. I love rooting for my 49ers and Golden Bears (0-4 in AFL Championship Games through 55 years of play!!! It killed me when they lost to the Washington Huskies in the 55th AFL Championship at home in Berkeley Stadium!), and I love watching the teams grow and change throughout the seasons. That's one of the best things about UFL.

I also have another league in which I (very poorly) coach one of the teams. I have made it to the playoffs in my first 3 seasons, but I have not made it to a league championship game.
