UFL Website Up & Running!
The basic framework for my UFL website is up. At present, it's mostly screenshots, and other game-related stuff. I'll start adding depth to it and getting word around as time goes on.

I like the look of the website. It has more detail than mine and the football counter is cool.
One small gripe I would have is that the site says "Online Home of UFL : The Football Simulator" and "Welcome to UFL, the home of the Universal Football League" which, to me, implies that the site is the "official" home of UFL. Not even my site is the official home page of UFL because Larry Rodgers does not mantain an official UFL website. The real UFL Home Page was deleted from Geocities years ago. Other than that, I really like the website.
And here's a tip: It appears that you are resizing the pictures using HTML code. A better way to do this would be to resize the images using MSPAINT before uploading them to the website (Use the Stretch/Skew option and always be sure that you use the same horizontal and vertical percentages, otherwise the image will not look good). That way, you would eliminate the need for the resizing code and the images will look a lot better that way too!

My Website
My website does not have UFL in the title but does mention it below the title as the method of simulation. I will also plug this throughout the website in various ways.

Joe Montana
Now Joe Montana's website is very professional. I like how it is set up. Now this website is more designed around the UFL itself whereas mine will be designed around my league with the UFL within the website. But wow I like his! Mine will be hard pressed to measure up to his.

Yes, that's a good point, Ben. That thought had occurred to me after I'd uploaded. I'll edit that when I update next. Hopefully we can get some more people using the program and get the links page full of people's own UFL sites.Ben wrote:One small gripe I would have is that the site says "Online Home of UFL : The Football Simulator" and "Welcome to UFL, the home of the Universal Football League" which, to me, implies that the site is the "official" home of UFL. Re: Joe Montana
I'll probably add some pages dealing with my own league too. I've tinkered around with that before, so it's just a matter of tidying it all up and uploading. When you get your site up, let us know and I'll add a link to it.steelerman wrote:Now Joe Montana's website is very professional. I like how it is set up. LOL, no worries, I knew exactly what you meant. Like I said, I had the same thought myself about the way I had worded it.Ben wrote:There is no problem with mentioning UFL on your websites!!! I am not trying to be some super control-freak, I just don't want anyone to think that your sites are official in any way. My site is not even official; that's why it's called "The Unofficial UFL Home Page."

Thanks Joe!
Thank you for linking my website to your excellent website. I visited your website and really enjoyed the logos and team names. I loved the aspect or concept you are shooting for here. I, too plan on starting a USFL league that I may just name the WFL, world football league and choose team names from the past that you have not chosen in your USFL in order to not clash with yours. Excellent logos and I liked the Canada and U.S. concept. I may include a couple of Canadian teams as well in my WFL. Great site Joe! By the way, week two of the AFF is now complete. The games keep getting better each time. Ben, how are you doing?

Stellar Bowl!
I need to get some more of the UFL into my site. I like the updates to JoeMontana's site. I have been too busy enjoying week 4 and playing the game. Just when i thought Carolina and Indianapolis would run away from the league, both get beat. Love the realism. How has everyone been doing? Fine I hope!

LOL, a lot of them are modelled on old Superbowl logos. I'd like them to get more detailed as:Ben wrote:Joe, I love your USFL Stellar Bowl section!!! I cannot beleive that you took the time to make those logos. Great job!!!
a) the seasons go on, just like in real life.
b) I get better with Fireworks!
It's funny looking back at old Superbowl logos, how simple the old ones were compared to the recent games.
