Re: 2010-11 Rosters

Hi Bud,

There are plenty of file sharing sites out there, like rapidshare.com, megaupload, yousendit. I'm looking forward to seeing your work, having produced a roster set three or four years ago. I know how much work is involved in doing it. Glad to see people are still using UFL too.

Re: Visual Basic 6 Programmer Needed

Hey, glad to see some activity around here again. I actually found myself firing up UFL for the first time in a few months last Saturday night, and getting re-enthused about it. I love how I can take a few months away from it, and then just come back and get instantly hooked again.

Re: Possible UFL 3.0 On The Horizon

No worries, thanks for the update, and any work at all you do on this is appreciated. For what it's worth, I'll happily help out with beta testing. :) Had a quick play with the new engine this morning, just a couple of comments: 1. It seems very sack-happy. In the 1st quarter alone, the sacks were i...

Re: From UFL to NFL

In an effort to spark some interest again, work is now underway on the 2008-9 edition of the NFL team files. Will keep you all updated on the progress, and hopefully have it available in time for the new season kicking off.

Re: Post-Exams and UFL withdrawal

I just love the interactivity of the controls on the Wii version, snapping the ball, throwing motions, drumming the controllers to break tackles, throwing stiffarms etc. I play in superstar mode, where you control all aspects of your own individual player - I was drafted as a running back by the Col...

Re: UFL for Play By E-mail?

I'm still coaching in this league, although I'm not as active on the forums as some of the other coaches. Rick does a fantastic job with this game, and it's a lot of fun.

Re: Defense

I tend to go almost exclusively with 3-4 no matter who I'm up against - which might explain why my explosive offense normally has to fight to outscore every opponent I meet!

Re: Post-Exams and UFL withdrawal

Yeah, still trying to squeeze play in as time and family permits (which with an 8-month old baby is not a lot!). I'm currently halfway through season 29 and still loving it - although I confess I've been cheating on UFL with Madden 08 for the Wii, which is just too much fun!

Re: 2006 Rosters

Hi there, I originally put those rosters together. Should still have a copy on my machine at home. Will take a look when I get in from work. Scotty Edit: just realised Ben had mirrored the file on his site: http://ufl.no-ip.info/NFL2006.rar Can't remember if I corrected the Buffalo abbreviation (it ...

Re: Possible UFL League

Yep, 8 is the minimum (2 divisions of 4). I like the idea of a very basic game like this. Rick Hindle has developed a very in-depth game which is excellent (http://www.frontier-esports.com/) so this would provide a lighter challenge too.

Hey there! Yes, I'm still playing with UFL and checking in here on a regular basis to see if anything's happening. Been pretty busy with college final exams and getting ready to start a new job, so not been posting much. Hopefully time will start freeing up again after this week, so should be more a...

Nothing like that built into the game thus far, closest you'll get to Arena football is changing the team names and using your imagination. :)
